Probabilistic Hazard Workshop, 2009

The first probabilistic Hazard workshop took place on 23 October 2009 in the Clock Tower at the University of Auckland.  Fifteen members from The University of Auckland, IESE, Massey University, National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), Beca, GNS Science, and Market Economics attended to discuss hazard and risk models for monogenetic volcanic fields.  The group will convene for updates each year, possibly in conjunction with the annual DEVORA forum in November 2010.

2009 DEVORA Research Forum

The 2nd annual Research Forum took place on 6 November 2009 in the Design Theatre at the Conference Centre at the University of Auckland.  This year DEVORA joined forces with a FRST-IIOF group from Massey University studying Jeju Island in South Korea (an analogue monogenetic field), and with VISG, part of the Auckland Engineering Lifelines Group.  Please see below for the programme and contents of the presentations.
